As Europe acclimates to the Euro and its value increases over the US and South American dollars, the financial power bases may shift to Europe or where more and more currencies are merging. It is not inconceivable that over the course of the next twenty years we may have a new world currency. The road to this reality is strewn with confrontations and territorial conflicts as the world grows smaller and is in need of each others unique resources. As this trend continues over the course of the next seven years and acts as a catalyst as nations find their resources dwindling, international collaborations are inevitable for survival for all of us.
Since the eclipses began in Taurus and Scorpio in fall 2002 for the first part of this seven year cycle, debt continued to rise and values fluctuate. Banking institutions holdings lost their value or strength as transiting south node moves through the sign of Scorpio, which rules lending institutions such as banks, trusts, credit unions. According to Barbara Koval when the eclipses are in Taurus and Scorpio debt is incurred and affects the money supply and creates disturbances in markets, particularly cardinal points and middle degrees of mutables. Since Saturn entered the sign of Cancer (a cardinal sign) in June 2003 after the Uranus Ingress and there were three total eclipses in that 2003 which were in Taurus and Scorpio, real estate and land values may also fluctuate and in order to invest in property the old concept of equity share is becoming more common than it is now. This concept affords those that are cash poor, but with excellent credit, to collaborate with those that are property rich and lack cash flow or good credit. Group investments in real estate may return as a common trend and good REITs (real estate investment trusts) may also return to popularity.
Since Venus rules the ascendant and the ascendant represents buyers and with its conjunction to Neptune are both placed in the fourth house, the buyers of land and property should be careful that they are not overpaying for overvalued properties. With the continuing low interest rates, people are no longer purchasing houses and purchasing based on value, but are really purchasing payments, so that, in fact, the usually stringent requirements of banking institutions to appraise property may be wavering in order to maintain business and continue business. Mars rules the seventh the house of sellers and since it is strong in this chart, then sellers of property and industry pick up stakes and mass relocations occur in other places not yet overpopulated, but whose costs are low.
Vocational and specialized trainings may reach a new popularity as universities and colleges continue to escalate their tuitions. The trend may be more towards learning trades rather than four year and six year degrees as layoffs continue. Mercury the ruler of the ninth house of higher institutions of learning is in its fall in this chart and is squaring the nodal axis, which again suggests that the entire model of education changes due to the need for increased vocational skills in industry and a return to basics in terms of knowledge. Getting back to the land, a movement predominant in the 1960s, returns over the course of this next seven year cycle.
The ingress chart occurs at the end of a Crescent moon and on the day before a First Quarter moon. The end of a Crescent moon signals an end to struggles with overcoming obstacles. A First Quarter moon is an excellent indicator of a time in which new structures and organizations are built and implemented after obstacles are overcome.
Jupiter in the tenth house can indicate that there is oversupply of goods. Even though there seems to be an oversupply of goods, the fact that Venus falls far behind the Sun in this chart doesnt encourage consumer spending. In addition, Mercury, the sign of commerce is about 10 degrees away from the Sun in Pisces and behind it as well. This also supports declines spending, which leaves us with an oversupply of goods and no one interested in purchasing them. Unless the government intervenes in providing employment ala Franklin Roosevelts Work Projects that hired people to build the dams and parks, things could feel very flat.
For the first year of this ingress, which is really only a portion of 2003, Jupiter and Saturn stay in a somewhat positive aspect with each other, which may not force prices down as quickly or retard spending as quickly either. Lack of money supply during the first year of the ingress suggests a lot of consumer spending and resulting debt. If we look at the second and eighth house houses of money and spending and saving, they tell a further story. The second house is the house of places where money is kept, the storehouses, as Koval notes in her book. The eighth house is the treasure chest of our competition, or, our enemies. Please note two interesting points here. In the eighth house of the ingress chart, we see Taurus on the cusp ruled by Venus, which, again is conjunct Neptune in the fourth, which suggests that they (our open enemies) are having just as difficult a time as we are financially and since Venus conjuncts Neptune, which rules oil, then much of the values may be based, again, on oil prices. Neptune rules viruses, infections, liquids, and airborne diseases, or, large amounts of flu or similar viruses in the environment as well as toxic leaks and toxic waste. Opportunities abound in the industries of prevention for the above, but may not really develop until later in the cycle when the society gets it.
The eighth house of this chart is where the north lunar node is found in the sign of Gemini, which suggests that the challenge is to collaborate with others in an intelligent way where problem solving is the key to successful collaboration. This problem solving requires optimum communications and again this may be one of the challenges of this seven-year cycle. It may be that a greater universal push is conducted to get instant communications to those less fortunate whom heretofore have not access.
Since the moon which always rules the people moves at a very high speed during the ingress chart and is in the eighth house in the sign of Gemini and close to the North Node, then housing, the food industry, and any industry that provides secure environments for families or tribes may provide excellent international creative as well as investment opportunities, particularly housing that is out of the ordinary and not the usual standard designs. Portable homes, pre-fabricated affordable homes, mobile and motor homes may improve in quality, appearance, and design and the accessibility may increase public demand and could break open some new possibilities in affordable housing. In fact, we may see this in Europe before we see it in the United States since this chart is calculated for Greenwich, England. The other way it might manifest is that pre-fabricated homes and their exports or imports may be on the increase to provide this affordable housing.
Saturn is in the ninth house of imports and Saturns placement here suggests a reduction in imports or difficulties in importing that may cause delays. Since Saturn is close to the Moon in this chart, the shortage of housing may be just the crisis that produces new models and structures for lower income possibilities for housing. Food supply may also lessen since the Moon rules food and Saturn represents constriction. Though the opposition of Saturn and Pluto were intense in 2001 and 2002, this opposition continues somewhat in the Uranus ingress chart and remains in force at least for the first year, suggesting that there is continued global conflict because of the different ideologies and the lack of effective communication and understanding. International training of protocol, customs, and cultures are high on the list of much needed training. It also suggests that the Western model of doing business is less likely to succeed if the Eastern models of doing business is not studied seriously and integrated.
In addition, Uranus and Neptune are in mutual reception and the last time this occurred the Soviet Union broke apart and new governments and countries sprang up throughout that part of the world as well as new conflicts. Changing borders and boundaries in the world return again. Perhaps, the development of the European Union is a prototype of future models of financial and economic unions that are inevitable as we move towards the major transitions of 2010.
